(1) There will be a service commission to recommend the appointment and promotion of teachers and staff of the university (2) The formation of the Service Commission shall be as follows:-
(a) Person appointed by the Vice-Chancellor – Chairman
(b) Member of Public Service Commission – Member
(c) One member from among the teachers (3) A committee consisting of two members of the Assembly under the chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor will be formed by the Chancellor to recommend the appointment of the chairman and members as per clauses (a) and (c) of sub-section (1) and on the recommendation of that committee, the chairman and members will be appointed by the Chancellor.
(4) The term of office of the chairman and members appointed according to sub-section (3) shall be four years.
(5) Other work, duties and rights of the Service Commission shall be as prescribed.
(6) The remuneration, facilities and other conditions of service of the Chairman and members of the Service Commission shall be as prescribed.
(7) The procedure related to the meeting of the Service Commission shall be as prescribed and the procedure related to the meeting may be determined by the Service Commission itself until such time.
